Elan School Facilities

Elan School for Troubled Teens is located in the rural community of Poland Spring, Maine.  Elan has a 33-acre campus on Upper Range Pond which affords a waterfront program of leisure swimming and canoeing under supervision of a certified lifeguard. During warmer months, our School for Troubled Teens students engage in friendly competition on our soccer and softball fields and participate in weekly physical education classes.  During cold months, Elan School for Troubled Teens students are transported to indoor facilities for physical education as well as other indoor activities.

The majority of the life skills program occurs in a coed environment, the "Student Center."  It is self-contained and is set up to simulate a real home with a kitchen, dining room and living room with a large screen television with surround sound.  Meals are prepared in the main kitchen by our chef who is  servesafe certified and are served family style to the students.  Dorms are single sex and approximately 4 to 6 students share a dorm room.  Academics are held in the schoolhouse, which also houses a brand new computer lab.
