FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OPPORTUNITIES
School Funding
Local school districts may offer some funding under federal "civil rights for the handicapped" for those students classified as needing special education services. The rules vary from state to state. This should be discussed with your school district representative. Occasionally an attorney and/or advocate may be needed. Visit IDEA for more information.
Insurance
Unfortunately, none of the fees (i.e. tution, related services and room and board) associated with the Elan School are covered by private health insurance. We cannot provide documentation for submission to health insurance carriers.
Tax Deductions
Certain Elan fees may be deductible for federal income tax purposes as medical care expenses incurred on behalf of a dependent. Visit www.frcd.org (Family Resource Center on Disabilities) for more info or contact your tax professional.
