Elan Student Wins Decathlon

Fresh off of winning two gold medals at the Maine State Class C Championship, Jack's success continued as he won the decathlon at the USATF track and field championships at Scarborough High School held on June 18th-19th.  Jack ran a 5:07.14 in the 1500 Meter run and scored 519 points in the final event. He beat Nathaniel Hinckley, a nationally acclaimed javelin thrower and track athlete who finished 2nd.

Madison's Travis Goodwin, Scarborough High School's James Orin, Elan students Gabe and Malik all qualified advanced to the Region 1 championship.
