Elan opens the holidays with a trip to Shogun: The Japanese Steakhouse
Scarborough- It has become part of an annual holiday tradition. On December 8th students, staff, family and friends journeyed to Shogun: The Japanese Steakhouse, for the schools' holiday dinner. Feasting at the famed hibachi grill of Japanese cuisine; students enjoyed the showmanship of the chef's, who dazzled the audience with their skills and flashy food preparation. The restaurant has been around for 25 years. It boasts that "dinner is prepared before your eyes at the Hibachi Table". And indeed it was. "It was amazing! There was really good food. The chef's were crazy. I've been to a few Hibachi Grills. But this was by far the best" said Zach Gr. "There's nothing like being with my good friends and experiencing this. It was cool." Senior Tyler S enjoyed the showmanship of the Hibachi. "I knew what to expect because I was here last year" he said. "It was fun to see the chef's skills with the knives and their jokes. It set the tone for a great holiday season". After the trip to Shogun, the students returned to campus for egg nog, fudge, games, and holiday pictures.
