Elan School is a closed SAT testing site. Students continue on to two-and four-year colleges, as well as to a variety of vocational programs and schools. More than 300 schools, colleges and universities throughout the country have accepted Elan School graduates during its thirty-three year history. An average of 80% of graduates continue their education. The remainder may enter the work force or join the armed services, but several of these students have long-range goals that include furthering their education.
Student's who are at or near the end of their high school requirements, but still need to remain at Elan may be allowed to take some college courses. Elan has an adjunct professor from the University of New England who offers some college courses here on Elan's campus. Some Elan students are also allowed to attend college courses at one of Maine's technical colleges, or a branch of the University of Maine Systems. |
