Fees at Elan School

The rate for the 2007-2008 school year at Elan School is $49,071.96, billed monthly at $4,089.33

Components of the annual cost are as follows:

Tuition $19,158.02
Support Services $17,118.50
Board and Care $12,764.05
Daily Rate $134.44

No financial aid is provided by the Elan School directly; however, students not funded privately may be eligible for aid through special education, public welfare, social services, or combinations of the above. Elan participates in various education loan programs, including the KeyBank Achiever, and SallieMae loan programs. At present, approximately half of Elan's students receive full or partial funding assistance.

If the student is privately funded, due on the date of admission:

  • If the admission occurs on the 1-15th of the month - the current month's fees plus the three-month performance deposit which is applied to the final three months of the program.
  • If the admission occurs on the 16th and beyond - the current month's fees and the following month's fees plus the three-month performance deposit which is applied to the final three months of the program.

Student Bank is the student's personal account where sundries and entertainment are charged. Student Bank averages approximately $100.00 each month and is billed separately. Also required on the date of admission is a $200.00 deposit for Student Bank which must be paid separately from tuition. Student Bank is always the parents' responsibility.

Our School:

  • Elan School accepts adolescents with emotional, behavioral or adjustment problems .
  • Elan School is a co-educational, independent, residential, special-purpose school, serving grades 8 through 12.
  • Students are admitted year round at Elan School; average stay is 24 to 30 months.
  • Classes at Elan School are held during evening hours and are kept small, maximum of 12 students
  • Elan School is a closed SAT site
  • Uses a Life Skills Curriculum that teaches students to permanently change attitudes and life patterns
  • Elan School stresses a work ethic; teaching personal responsibility, honesty, self-control and patience .
  • We have an active athletic program (teams have won several state championships in many sports)
  • Provides intensive group sessions; individual sessions are on an as-needed basis
  • Elan School successfully places 80% of its high school graduates in post-secondary schools.
  • Students at Elan School may be able to earn up to three years of high school credits in a two year period .
